Simple Mornings is a two-piece artwork. The left depicts a portion of a table with a closed green book and a gold ribbon hanging. The right also pictures the same table but from the right side and a cup of coffee. When placed side by side, they align to the same table and are portrayed in a bird's eye view.
The artwork itself can have different interpretations. From the title, Simple Mornings, it can reflect one's morning of starting the day with a cup of coffee and reading a book.
However, the book does resemble what looks to be a Quran and therefore represents the ideal morning for a Muslim: the same way we start our mornings with a cup of coffee, we should begin the day by reading the Quran.
