This was my first time making a custom artwork where a friend of mine reached out asking to get one made for her friend both as a wedding and a house-warming gift for their new home. Measured at 300 x 300mm, white-framed and printed locally on 100% post-consumer recycled paper here in Melbourne, Australia.
This piece started from a 'floral' concept but the digital art I specialise in are usually landscapes. After sketching up a few ideas, Japan became the focus with its simplicity and calmness.
The colour palette complimented the couple's house of grey couches and brown coffee table and tv unit - simple and neutral but the pinks, reds and blues added a bit of colour and life to the art.
To make this piece more special and personalised, my friend wanted the following ayah from the Quran and their names on it:
“Oh mankind, Indeed we have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.” 49:13
